How To Convert Trimester Credits To Semester Credits In High School

Different schools have different academic calenders, so it can be difficult to know where you stand if you move from a school that used trimester credits to semester credits. Making the adjustment is a simple mathematical matter, converting from a three-part year to a two-part year. While your total credits will seem to increase, the overall effect on your proximity to graduation will be the same.

Take the number of trimester credits you currently have and multiply the total by three.

Step 2

Take the result and divide by two to divide the result into semesters.
