How To Make A Protractor

Perhaps your son has just informed you on Sunday night about his big math project due Monday morning. Or maybe you're doing some home repairs and need to take some quick measurements. A homemade protractor measures angles just as easily as one from the store. Here's how to make a functional protractor at home quickly and easily, using materials you have around the house.

Step 1

Enlarge and print out the protractor template on the left.

Step 2

Cut out the template.

Step 3

Glue the template to a piece of cardboard or heavy paper.

Step 4

Cut out the cardboard around the inside and outside of the template.

Step 5

Use the homemade protractor just as you would a plastic one for measuring angles.
