How To Make A Virtual Park For A School Project

A school project worthy of a high grade has elements that are not only intellectually stimulating using accurate information, but are visually pleasing as well. To make your school project stand out, such as a project on parks, you can create a virtual model of a park that the class can see while you give your presentation. A virtual park will capture the essence of an actual park, but is constructed out of craft materials.

Step 1

Cover a sheet of cardboard with air-drying modeling clay. It can be any color. Form the clay into hills and valleys to resemble a park. Allow the clay to dry.

Step 2

Paint the clay with green and brown acrylic paint to resemble the color of the ground. Allow the paint to dry.

Step 3

Cover the painted clay with craft glue. Sprinkle dirt, sand and moss over the glue. This, combined with the paint underneath, will make the landscape look realistic. Allow the glue to dry.

Step 4

Insert a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, and plug it in. Wait a few minutes for the glue to heat up.

Step 5

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the legs of a dollhouse park bench. Place the glued legs onto an area of the park where you want the bench to be. Repeat this process until you have as many benches in your park as you like.

Step 6

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the bottom of a dollhouse light post. Place the glued bottom onto an area of the park where you want the light post to be. Repeat this process until you have as many light posts in your park as you like.

Step 7

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the bottom of a model tree. Place the glued bottom onto an area of the park where you want the tree to be. Repeat this process until you have as many trees in your park as you like. If you want a fall scene, uses trees with yellow or orange leaves.

Step 8

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the bottom of a model person post. Place the glued bottom onto an area of the park where you want the person to be. Repeat this process until you have as many people in your park as you like. You can find model people at any hobby shop, either in standing or sitting positions. If using a sitting person, apply the glue to the bent legs and place it on one of the park benches. Allow the hot glue to cool completely before displaying your virtual park.
